Wellhead and terminal virtualization
Two Inspur stacks — shore terminal and wellhead — staged, shipped, and brought up offshore.

The hosts are in China. The hypervisor has to be real, named, and rebuildable — not a lab that only exists on a laptop.
Virtualization jobs we take are usually Inspur on the floor: cabinets, RAID, the hypervisor, then the network and the security appliance around it. VMware and FusionCompute show up too. The pattern is the same. Someone has to rack it, name it, and leave drawings the next shift can follow.
A shore terminal and a wellhead both need the same stack. Or a plant wants hosts under a China hypervisor, not a cloud console in another country. The boxes are already purchased, or they still have to be chosen. Either way, the work is on site: power, cabling, RAID, then the VMs that the vendors will actually log into.
Nothing useful gets invented offshore. If the stack has to survive a teardown and a voyage, it has to work in a staging hall first.
We plan the hardware and the virtualization layout. Cabinets get drawn: placement, dimensions, base, power, internal cabling, and the network map. RAID and Inspur (or the hypervisor you already standardized) go on with names that match the drawing. Switches, routers, firewall, and the audit box are installed so each site can be rebuilt the same way.
With the vendors we stand up runtimes and walk traffic — including simulated Modbus and TCP when the subsystems are not live yet. Backup, high availability, and the policies that belong on both sites go on before anyone calls it done.
The handover is the hosts plus the paper: final drawings, cable schedule, runbook, and the test records. After a scan we patch what it found.
You keep the keys and the drawings. We do not become the only people who understand the rack. If the same stack has to be packed and brought up at sea, that is a separate note: stage on shore, cutover offshore.
